I want to do Nutella cookies. I"ve discovered a recipe because that it, but it"s in volume measurements. It asks because that a cup of Nutella and also I don"t own a cup.

You are watching: How many cups of nutella in a jar

I tried browsing my continuous converters, but the just one with a hit was Wolfram-Alpha and also I"ve i found it this an outcome can be fairly wrong.

Is anyone kind sufficient to weigh a cup that Nutella? Or carry out you usage a converter the knows the load of a cup that Nutella?

Note: i do own a tablespoon measure, for this reason if no one knows, I"ll simply scoop out some and also calculate it myself. And also post that as response of course.

I actually measured and weighed a cup of Nutella and also I obtained 290g. Of food we need to take into consideration my 1 cup measure up (I"m pretty sure they are not specifically the same) and my scale. Yet it simply shows the the 300g mark is not far off.

According come the nutella nutritional fact label, 1 tbsp = 19g.

There space 16 tbsp in a cup so 16 * 19g = 304g

Here"s my trick for measuring sticky, dense things favor Nutella: Take everything liquid you"re using and also measure an amount, like 1 cup. Add the Nutella to the liquid and also the level will increase to the measurement you need. For example, if I require 1/2 cup the Nutella and there is milk in mine recipe, I"ll placed 1 cup of milk on mine measuring cup, add enough Nutella to bring the linked volume come 1.5 cups. Provides cleaning simpler too.

I estimated that 1 cup the nutella is about 294 grams:

I bought a jar of 350 grams the nutella, supplied a mite to suggest the nutella level of the jar. Cleared it (I to be gonna usage it for cookie anyway adjusting the lennythewonderdog.net recipes to just one 1 jar).

After cleaning the seasoned out. I put it ~ above a scale and filled v water. In go 282 grams of water = 282 milliliter the water = 1.19 cup of water.

The 350 grams the Nutella in the jar was 1.19 cup -> Ergo: 1 cup of Nutella = 350/1.19 = 294 grams.

Note 1: The = sign have to be taken as "equals about" note 2: who would create a lennythewonderdog.net recipes needing a cup of nutella, that is almost impossible to measure up it.

Nutella is a little specialised for many online converters, yet butter is basically the same density, and a cup of the weighs 238g. Ns wouldn"t think you"d go far wrong v that.

The recipe I observed asking because that Nutella cookies measured through cup mentioned "using dried measuring cup quite than the one used for liquids". Ns live in (non-UK) Europe whereby we on regular basis do every little thing by grams and deciliters subsituting weight for volume and the typical substitution would be around 235-250 ml an ext or less relying on weight every volume
